Lori Farris, from the Office of Consumer Protection of the KY Office of the Attorney General from Frankfort, will speak about computer fraud and other consumer related issues at our November 8 NARFE meeting.

Susan Horn from Blue Cross Blue Shield will address the changes to coverage for their health plans for 2013 at our next chapter meeting on Thursday October 11.

TOMORROW - August 14th (Tuesday) - THERE IS A JOINT CHAPTER MEETING with Democratic candidate Bill Adkins, who is going after Geoff Davis House of Representatives position. He will speak at 12:30 pm at the Golden Corral on Orphanage Road, Ft. Wright.  Lunch at the Golden Corral is 11:30 am.  You don’t have to eat lunch there or you can wait until 1:00 pm for the Sr. lunch discount.

Also, mark your calendar for September 6, 2012 (Thursday) for 12:30 pm as Republican Candidate Thomas Massie will also speak at the Golden Corral.  Lunch is also at 11:30 am or after 1:00 pm.

In addition, on September 13 (Thursday) at our next Chapter 1135 meeting at the St. Charles Lodge Building, Meeting Room on Level C, 500 Farrell Dr. Ft. Wright,  we are pleased to announce that Toni Schklar, St. Elizabeth Physician’s Staff will speak on Acupuncture/Holistic Medicine.   

This is a reminder that our next NARFE Meeting will be on Thursday July 12.  The luncheon meeting starts at NOON.  

The MEETING LOCATION HAS CHANGED.  We will be at St. Charles at 500 Farrell Dr. in Covington, but we will move back to the St. Charles Lodge Building.  This is the building undergoing construction.  Go through the new entrance to the lodge and past the new assembly room and the new café and into the original hallway.  The elevator is on the left. Take it down two levels to Level C.  We return to the meeting room that we used in prior years, which is across from the elevator on Level C.

Our next luncheon meeting is Thursday June 14.  A representative from Alzheimer’s Association will speak about the early signs of Alzheimer’s, proactive measures and recent research in the field.  We meet at the St. Charles Care Center campus at 500 Farrell Drive in Covington.
