Our next NARFE meeting will be on Thursday May 9 at noon. Susan Horn of Blue Cross Blue Shield will talk about Diabetes.  Millions are affected by diabetes and many have the disease but are unaware of it.  

The NARFE State Convention was held earlier this month and the theme was Healthy Living in Retirement.  One fitness instructor stated that watching 6 hours of TV each day takes off 5 years of your life.  So, be active and one way to do that is to attend the next NARFE meeting.

Also, long time member Virgil Moore passed away on January 26.  He was 95.  This was listed in the Ohio obits of the Enquirer on Jan. 31.  Memorial service will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Ft. Wright, KY at 11:30 AM on Feb. 4.

NARFE’s first Chapter 1135 meeting of the New Year will be Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Golden Corral on Orphanage Road in Ft. Wright, KY, which is near the Wal-Mart Plaza.  Please gather at the front of the restaurant at the special start time of 1pm and then proceed to the meeting room in the front right corner of the building.

Please note that we will return to the St. Charles Lodge building for February and subsequent meetings.

Welcome in the Christmas season by joining fellow chapter members at the annual NARFE Christmas Party 

on Thursday December 13 at 11:30am.  Mark Cormican will provide entertainment.
